I know what you mean, I’ve been watching season one on netflix, and I find Henry annoying as heck. I also find Emma annoying, I think the show is trying to hard to make those two characters likable but in my opinion they aren’t.
I agree with the over all opinion stated in this article, I always thought adoptions were supposed to be a closed thing…how did a child with a stolen credit card obtain such sensitive legal information…sigh.
I know people may find it odd but I find myself siding with the otherwise “evil” characters, I kinda like Regina and find myself wanting that Daniel guy to reappear so she can find the happiness she was deprived. Yeah, he’s supposed to be dead, but hey it can’t be any less unrealistic than the long lost daughter actually looking older than the birth mother…lol
I mean, has anybody even noticed how much more fresh faced and younger Mary Margaret looks than Emma? Just sayin’….lol

I wasn’t cognizant of why I objected at the time but I’m certain now it was a lot of the latent misogyny in a vast majority of Christopher Pike’s books that ultimately turned me off.

I remember I read this just as I was starting to form opinions about “political” things like abortion and thusly this book offended my nascent sensibilities. I was so disappointed/upset with Christopher Pike. Whisper of Death was one of the last books by him I read. But I did love the early non-supernatural books. Gimme a Kiss and Fall into Darkness are my favorites!

I love the Naomi Novik books. I found them right after I had finished Patrick O’Brian’s series and was looking to get back to fantasy. How lucky was that. I have not read the most recent ones however, so I think it is time to revisit the series.

Throughout that movie, they’re traveling from place to place, but is that really safe. The victim, 65-year-old Ronald Poppo, is in critical condition-which is to be expected when someone literally eats your face. That is of course, unless it is at the expense of someone else.

I find Henry soooo annoying. Excellent 1st season, but in the 2nd seemed a little boring to me, a few episodes stayed on DVR for weeks at a time. I found myself so irritated at the sound of his voice.

Wow, this makes me realize that when I read this book when I was younger, a lot went over my stupid young head.
I woke up this morning when the sudden impulse to reread this story.
Now I feel like I have to reread them all over again to find out what else went over my head…
